Asa Pingree Furniture

Asa uncovers silhouettes that look natural in any setting by focusing on structural integrity, movement, and comfort. Inspired by an eclectic island community off the coast of Maine, his foundational pieces exude the strength and grace of the bold coast where Asa learned his craft.

“Asa combines the simple, classic feel of Maine with the sculptural elements inspired by New York. He also keeps his father’s advice in mind when designing, which is “keep it simple, stupid.”

“The ability to transport guests and customers into a new and different world is something truly remarkable. To walk in from the sidewalk and to be transported into an entirely new experience is a quality coveted by restaurants and hotels alike. To enter a new realm of dining experience is something in high demand, and it is here that the Katharine succeeds.”

Crème Indigo Collection

The indigo dyed Special Edition Exchange Chair for Stellar Works is a part of Crème’s expanded Exchange Collection. This chair explores traditional natural dying techniques while celebrating the beauty of indigo. The Crème Indigo Collection was hand-dyed locally in Brooklyn, New York in a 100% natural vat of Japanese indigo. To achieve this true blue color we chose to source live fermented dye batch from an indigo farm in Tokishima, Japan, where they practice the traditional method of composting indigo leaves into a fermented sukumo.
